5,655-carat emerald crystal unearthed in Zambia.

A 5,655 carat emerald was unearthed by the largest producer of green stones in the world in their Zambia mines.
It weighs more than 1.1 kilos or almost 2.5 pounds is being called the "Inkalamu" or lion in the local Bemba language. It was found at the Gemfield mines in Kagem.

The stone with remarkable clarity and with a perfect balanced golden green hue will be cut into smaller pieces and auctioned in Singapore this month.
