Duterte set to visit Mt. Province today

President Rodrigo Duterte is set to visit Mountain Province today where at least 10 bodies were retrieved inside the DPWH building and 11 are still missing due to landslide.
Duterte announced this during his speech at the ceremonial distribution of Certificates of Land Ownership Award in Cagayan de Oro City Wednesday night.
"I won't be long, I'm reserving some time because I will be flying to Benguet tomorrow. There was a landslide and people are missing," Duterte said in Cebuano.
Details of his visit has yet to be disclosed and what he said was that he will go to Benguet, where the mining town of Itogon was hit by a landslide caused by Typhoon Ompong in September.
According to Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo the President will personally visit the areas affected by Typhoon Rosita and that financial assistance worth P834,304.90 was already provided by the government through DSWD and LGUs.
Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) building in Natonin, Mountain Province was engulfed with thick muds due to heavy rains during the onslaught of Typhoon Rosita. More than 20 workers were trapped inside the building.
