Typhoon Rosita weakens

(Typhoon Rosita as of 4;30 a.am, Monday, Oct. 29. - PAGASA)

Typhoon Rosita (Yutu) has weakened as it made its way towards  the Isabela-Aurora area early Monday morning, according to weather update from PAGASA in a 5 a.m. bulletin.
Rosita was 540 kilometers east of Cagayan province's Tuguegarao City, with 170 kilometer per hour winds and gusts of up to 210 kph at 4 a.m.
Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal 2 has been raised over:
  • Cagayan,
  • Isabela,
  • Aurora,
  • Quirino, and
  • Polillo Island.
Meanwhile, Signal 1 was meanwhile has been raised over:
  • Ilocos Norte,
  • Ilocos Sur,
  • La Union,
  • Pangasinan,
  • Abra,
  • Apayao,
  • Benguet,
  • Ifugao,
  • Kalinga,
  • Mountain Province,
  • the Batanes,
  • the Babuyan Islands,
  • Nueva Vizcaya,
  • Nueva Ecija,
  • Pampanga,
  • Tarlac,
  • northern Quezon,
  • Rizal,
  • Bulacan,
  • Metro Manila,
  • Laguna,
  • Batangas,
  • Bataan,
  • Zambales,
  • Cavite, and
  • Camarines Norte.
Rosita is expected to bring strong to very strong winds accompanied with moderate to heavy rain over northern and Central Luzon on Monday. Warning for possibility of landslides and flash floods were raised for areas along river channels, in low-lying areas, and in mountainous areas.
The residents in the coastal areas of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Cagayan, Isabela, and Aurora are warned to evacuate for possibility of storm surges.
Fisherfolk and small sea craft were also advised not to sail over the seaboards of areas under any storm signal, and over the eastern seaboards of southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao.
