Another judge inhibits to hear De Lima drug case

Metro Manila  — Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court judge Lorna Navarro Domingo has inhibited herself from the drug charges hearing against Sen. Leila De Lima.
The judge denied she has biases against De Lima as what the senator mentioned in her motion last Oct. 15.
"The Court finds no sufficient ground to inhibit herself from conducting trial, however, in order to show good faith to all parties [concerned] and being within the discretionary power of this Court, the undersigned presiding judge recused herself form trying this case," the order read.
The senator said that judge Domingo has "prematurely ruled" against her motion to disqualify some of the prosecution's witnesses, and of displaying "manifest bias and partiality" against her.
However Domingo stood by her order of banning the media "since it would distract the parties as well as lawyers" inside the courtroom.
There have been several judges also that inhibited from hearing De Lima's drug cases, including Judge Juanita Guerrero of Branch 204 and Judge Myra Quiambao of Branch 203.
De Lima denied the allegations and claims to be a victim of political persecution since she is a critic of the Duterte administration.
